Obama’s Online Constituency: “Political Neophytes with an Emotional Age of about 6”

Whenever anything about Hillary or Bill Clinton is published at the Huffington Post, I automatically scan the first page of the inevitable hundreds, if not thousands, of readers’ comments. Following Beth Fouhy’s article (AP) Clinton Lawyers Vetting Her for Secretary of State, this exchange between readers ballewb and bluestateman caught my eye:

Ballewb: “Why, on a liberal site, is there so much hate for President and Senator Clinton?”

BlueStateMan

“Half of the hate is from poorly disguised neocons... 1/4 is from disillusioned Libertarians...1/8 have legitimate gripes but don't know how to express them... & 1/8 is from political neophytes with an emotional age of about 6.”

I don’t disagree with BlueStateMan’s categories of commenters, just the percentage that he’s assigned them. I’d say he’s way underrepresented Obama’s online constituency – those “political neophytes with an emotional age of about 6.”

I’d also like to point out that the Huffington Post and the Daily Kos, along with kindred left-wing blogs, and the so-called liberal MSM have revealed themselves in 2008 to be liberal in most respects except when it comes to gender equality. Most appalling, both the old and the new media appear to be oblivious to the depravity in their attitudes toward women.
