It’s Monday morning, and the latest polls in Pennsylvania show Obama’s false negative attacks on Clinton aren’t helping him. Clinton leads Obama in each poll as indicated below:
Zogby 48% to 42%
Strategic Vision 48% to 41%
ARG 54% to 41%
Mason-Dixon 48% to 43%
According to Newsmax/Zogby:
“The final weekend before tomorrow's important primary election in Pennsylvania was good for New York's Hillary Clinton, as she made a definitive move toward victory over rival Illinois' Barack Obama, a fresh Newsmax/Zogby daily telephone tracking poll shows.
“She gained two points over the past 24 hours as Obama lost one point, and she now leads 48% to 42%, the latest polling shows. Meanwhile, the undecideds dropped by two points. Her edge was three points yesterday but had wobbled within a tight margin. Clinton's advantage is still within the margin of error, but she is close to getting beyond it as Election Day looms.
“The two-day tracking survey, which was conducted April 19-20, 2008, included 11% who were either undecided or supported someone else.”

Pakistan Election Long Seen as Face-Off Between Party Leaders
In response to Politico's recent accusation that Hillary Clinton erred on Pakistan in recent appearances on CNN and ABC, a quick scan of the news coverage in Pakistan before and after Benizir Bhutto’s death, makes clear the upcoming election was widely considered a face-off between Musharraf and Bhutto.
For example, Reuters/Canada reported yesterday:
“Western nations appealed for calm and sporadic violence erupted in the southern city of Hyderabad. Bhutto's Pakistan People's Party said it would take part in the elections despite the loss of its leader.
"A spokeswoman said any postponement would help the PPP's opponents. The other main opposition party said it would also take part despite earlier threats of a boycott.
"A former ruling party official said the election was likely to be delayed for up to two months but Musharraf opponents said postponement would deliver a political advantage to his supporters.”

Obama Camp’s Latest Attack on Hillary Clinton Reaches New Low

Any semi-conscious member of America’s electorate has to agree with Taylor Marsh’s conclusions in yesterday’s Huffington Post about the Obama campaign’s latest attempt to overcome their simultaneously naïve and arrogant candidate’s lack of credible experience. Marsh calls the Obama people to account for reaching a new low in their attacks on Hillary Clinton in the aftermath of Benazir Bhutto's death.
Marsh gets to the point in this excerpt from her article:
International tragedy has made Barack Obama and his campaign desperate for fear their paper thin experience in foreign policy will be weighed as voters ready for the Iowa primaries. It's in moments of crisis you find out what a candidate has and the strength of his character to respond to real dangers in the world. Another example of Mr. Obama's campaign of "hope," no doubt.

But Mr. Axelrod has stepped into it now. Blaming Clinton? This statement is not only beyond the pale, but it is made even more reprehensible, not to mention ridiculous, by Obama's campaign turning from the very serious subjects of Afghanistan-Pakistan-al Qaeda to the pop culture filmmaker Woody Allen, equating the two in a statement that is so ignorant you have to wonder if the Obama camp actually understands the possible ramifications of what happened today. I assure you, it does not come close to resembling or reflecting Woody Allen's wisdom on life. Seriously, the celebrity candidacy of Barack Obama, now threatened by a foreign policy emergency, has slipped into the nonsensical.
