Rabbi Berkovitz’s essay on spiritual blindness and Buddhist Thich Nhat Hanh’s teachings on love (video)

Rabbi  Will Berkovitz has written a lovely essay titled Seek, Don't Hide: Religious Wisdom to Cure Spiritual Blindness. As I read it, I couldn’t avoid the thought that the practice of mindfulness meditation is likely the most effective route to opening our eyes and awakening to the world around us.

Berkovitz has written a profound essay, but I must take issue with one minor point. He writes: “Facebook will never allow you to comfort a friend.”

Quite often on Facebook, I see friends reaching out to comfort friends in times of need.
