Now that Clinton’sCampaign Efforts No Longer Needed, Obama Disciples Shove the NY Senator Aside

Now that Obama has won - greatly aided by Hillary Clinton’s all out effort on the trail – the Messiah and his disciples in the Democratic party, including Ted Kennedy, evidently feel free to shove the NY Senator aside, regardless of her superior expertise in the major policy areas of health care, the economy, and foreign affairs.

The Sleuth’s gossipy Mary Ann Akers has made it a practice to take a slap at Clinton whenever the opportunity arises, and she doesn’t fail to do so in her column titled “Hillary Denied Bid to Take Charge of Health Care?”

Akers writes:

“Sources tell the Sleuth Clinton had approached Kennedy, who chairs the Senate health committee, and Democratic leaders about creating a new special health care subcommittee, one she would chair.

“Her hope was to draft the legislation that would fulfill her presidential campaign promise - and President-elect Barack Obama's - for a sweeping health care overhaul plan.

“But sources say Kennedy is cool to the idea. So is his top health care aide, Michael Myers, Kennedy's staff director on the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee.

“Myers tells the trade publication
InsideHealthPolicy that Kennedy will continue handling health care policy at the full committee level. Asked if that meant Clinton would not be tapped to head a new health subcommittee as rumored, Myers said that was correct.”

  1. Viginia - Thank you for continuing your blog. Just a quick comment - I'm glad I left the "new" Democratic Party after being a registered Democrat for 40 years. I knew he was just using Senator and President Clinton just like he has done to others in the past. I would be shocked if she would be put in any position in his administration or the Senate. I will not forget how Senator Clinton and Governor Palin was treated. I believe in the comment that I heard many times "there's a place in hell reserved for women who don't help (support) other women" I believe from Madeline Albright. This has put women back years. I don't expect to see another woman run for the presidency or get as far as Hillary did in my lifetime. (I just heard the news Dr. Dean is stepping down from his position with the DNC)It should be changed to the Obama Party.

I appreciate your comment today, as I, too, have left the Democratic Party after many years.
