Mr. Obama showed a stern demeanor this evening in the first formal press conference of his still new administration as he fielded several questions about the stimulus bill, safe havens for terrorists between Pakistan and Afghanistan, and a timetable for American forces in Afghanistan.
He chided Republican critics of the stimulus bill by reminding them more than once that their failed policies helped create the financial meltdown, and Americans voted for change in November.
