MediaMatters.Org Nails Cable News for Sexist Remarks

It didn’t take long, as I’ve reported in earlier posts, for Obama backers and the good old boys network in the media to launch an all out sexist assault on Sarah Palin. Respected media watch dog, MediaMatters.Org was all over it immediately:

“Summary: With reports that Sen. John McCain had picked Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to be his running mate, sexist commentary on cable news followed. On CNN, John Roberts raised the question of whether as vice president, Palin would be able to devote the time necessary to care for her baby with Down syndrome, and on MSNBC, Andrea Mitchell and Chuck Todd suggested that Sen. Joe Biden bears the burden of having to adjust his behavior in a vice-presidential debate because of Palin's sex.”

  1. None of us are free if one of us is in chains. You can't stop this asinine treatment of Gov. Palin until we're ready to look at our bully culture and our society of violence and depraved indifference to human life. Women aren't exempt from blame. Condoleezza Rice has trouble making speeches because of all the blood running down her hands. It's soaking into her clothing, and dripping off of her fingers, and forming into brilliant red pools of human blood. There were women in the SS, too. Like Herta Bothe. "She had a good time shooting at weak female prisoners carrying food containers from the kitchen to the block with her pistol" at Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. The United States is walking the wrong road.
