Attention Obama Supporters: Experience Makes a Dramatic Comeback

During the 2008 primary, Democratic Party leadership evidently decided charisma trumped experience and proceeded to select Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton as its nominee for the presidency.

Experience made a dramatic comeback this Thursday when 57-year-old Chesley Sullenberger III made an emergency landing of a US Airways passenger plane on the Hudson River between New York and New Jersey. All 155 passengers and crew aboard Flight 1549 survived.

According to the Huffington Post, “It appeared to be the first time in 45 years that a major aircraft crash-landed in the water - and every passenger on board made it out alive.”

Capt. Sullenberger’s 40 years as a pilot made the difference and even Obama’s online supporters, who continue to swarm aimlessly over message boards at Huffington Post, are acknowledging the possibility that sometimes experience counts: especially in a crisis.

Good thing Obama will have Hillary at State to take those 3 a.m. calls.

You tell it girl. This is what I like to hear: someone telling it like it is loud and clear. After the middle-aged and older (not to mention any others who have become inconvenient) have been thrown under the bus and told that we were not needed (DB) it is refreshing to know that experience does indeed count for something, is it not? I raise my glass to you (it is a weekend you know)! Thank you for the validation. I just renewed my AARP membership. It is true ~ I would much rather have an experienced pilot on board than a rookie. I feel that same about my President. Not to be. But hey, we have Hillary at SOS. Yay!!!
    Cheers
