2016 election

I, Virginia Bergman, pledge not to vote for a male presidential candidate in 2016 just because he's male.

Put the Labels Aside. Do What’s Best for America (video)

We are Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who are united in the belief that we do not have to give up our labels, merely put them aside to do what’s best for America.

  1. Gawker has a good post on this: http://gawker.com/5713046/the-fierce-ideology-of-no-labels

    Read the comments, too.

Living in New York, I get to see Bloomberg up close. He's the one who decided to buy himself an illegal third term. The one who locked up protesters at the Republican National Convention and refused to release them despite repeated orders from a judge.

    No Labels? No, thanks.

  2. Hi G.,

Thanks to the link to Gawker, a site I'd not visited previously.

I'm still withholding judgment on No Labels, though.

I became so thoroughly disgusted with both the Left and the Right in 08 that I'm not over it yet and doubt that I ever will be. Their online shock troops were identical in their attacks on those with whom they disagreed. I saw them as mirror images of one another. And remember, I was a lifelong Democrat.
